Who I Am
Hi, I’m Lawrence Kenshin — creator of Striking Breakdowns, an educational channel followed by more than 600,000 martial artists looking to improve their fight IQ.
Over the last decade, my breakdowns, tutorials, and training systems have helped martial artists across the world achieve hard-to-believe progress. They’ve also contributed to:
building top prospects,
refining world-class game plans, and
preparing fighters for some of the biggest nights in combat sports.
Since the passing of my mentor, Dr. Yessis, in 2023, I’ve committed to carrying on his legacy. Together, we developed a set of truly innovative training methods that bridge striking technique with the smartest principles of biomechanics, specificity, and athletic development.
My current coaching team includes:
